A Mother's Help is a second pair of hands and usually assists in looking after children and light household duties, but you will not be expected to do all the household tasks. In general, a Mother's Help is not qualified like a nanny but you will have had at least one years' relevant experience with children or some full time childcare training. Generally you will work under the parent's supervision, rather than taking charge, but there may be occasions when you need to have sole charge. This responsibility will depend on your experience. During your free time you will be made to feel welcome as a member of the family. Holidays for Mother's Helps are negotiable, but should be not less than two weeks per year.
